SportsFix adds Serie A to streaming list
KUALA LUMPUR: SportsFix, ASEAN’s leading mobile-centric over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform provider, continued to expand its growing list of international football matches coverage with the introduction of Serie A league into its current channel.
The company recently signed the deal with MP & Silva, the Italian league international media right holders to provide football fans in the country with three live matches weekly starting on November 19, via its online website www.malaysia.sportsfix.tv.
SportsFix Executive Chairman, Marcus Luer said the addition of Serie A football coverage is part of the company’s commitment to share the excitement and passion of European football to the growing list of Malaysian football fans.
“At the moment, we only charge RM5 per week and RM10 for a month. Our subscribers can make their payment via credit card or deduction of the amount from Celcom customers.
“We received an encouraging response from various segment of people since we held a soft launch with Celcom back in August,” Luer told a press conference here yesterday.
In another note, Luer said the company was mulling to expand its coverage to other sports in the future compared to the current list of four sports at the moment – football, cricket, basketball and mixed martial arts.
“We would love to expand our coverage of other sports despite our initial target to only complement what other private televisions did not deliver to the Malaysian people,” he added.
The company had already broadcast live coverage of several football matches in the Asian region - the K-League Classic, Chinese Super League, Toyota Thai Premier League and also Liga I Indonesia.
SportsFix is owned by SF Media Holdings Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Total Sports Asia which is Asia’s global leader in sports content. – Bernama
