Kenneth Ma apparently to be recruited for ‘Forensic Heroes 4’
HONG KONG: News reports claim that actor Kenneth Ma has been recruited for the new TVB series Forensic Heroes 4.
Also rumoured to have been chosen is Joey Meng.
TVB has yet to confirm or deny the leaked information, but a message left by TVB producer Mui Siu-ching appears to indicate that the fourth instalment of Forensic Heroes is being planned.
Mui, best known for producing the Forensic Heroes and Beyond the Realm of Conscience franchises, had shared on Weibo that she has been learning about new forensic science equipment.
She had uploaded a series of photos featuring TVB production staff investigating new forensic technology, which led to the speculation that research has started on Forensic Heroes 4.
Mui wrote, “Daily renewal, monthly change. Forensics technology has improved a lot. Never stop learning in life. Gain new knowledge.”
The hit series on police investigative procedures had premiered in June 2006, and had starred Bobby Au-yeung, Frankie Lam, Yoyo Mung and Linda Chung.
Two years later came the sequel, with the addition of new cast members Charmaine Sheh and Kevin Cheng.
In 2011, TVB rebooted the franchise with a new story and cast, starring Wayne Lai, Maggie Cheung, Ron Ng, Kate Tsui, Edwin Siu and Aimee Chan.
