99 Speedmart first li er-free mini mart

Kota Kinabalu City Hall has cer fied 99 Speedmart as a li er-free premises, making it the first ever mini mart in the state capital to achieve such feat.

SEPANGGAR: Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK) certified 99 Speedmart as a litter-free premises, making it the first ever mini mart in the state capital to achieve such feat.

The certificat­ion was presented to 25 premises under 99 Speedmart from all over Kota Kinabalu and its surroundin­g areas in an event that was held at 99 Speedmart Warehouse at Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP), yesterday.

In line with this, Mayor Datuk Yeo Boon Hai congratula­ted the mini mart for its outstandin­g efforts in supporting DBKK’s Anti-Litter Bug campaign.

“I take this opportunit­y to urge the other mini marts and business premises in Kota Kinabalu to join and support this programme (Anti-Litter Bug campaign).

“Participat­ion of other mini marts will help increase the number of litter-free areas from the state in its effort to achieve DBKK’s 4P strategy: Services, Cleaning, Enforcemen­t and Developmen­t,” Yeo said in his text which was read by DBKK deputy director-general (operation) Noorliza Ag Alip.

During the event, 99 Speedmart also joined the 3B: Bawa Beg Bah programme, making it the 43rd premises to do so.

Also present at the event were 99 Speedmart East Malaysia general manager Lim Kok Wei and 99 Speedmart MIS director Simon Yong Kin Onn.
