Give BN mandate in GE14 — Liow

-

KUALA LUMPUR: The people should give their mandate to Barisan Nasional (BN) in the 14th General Election (GE14) to continue the agenda of developing the country and prospering the people equitably.

MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said BN had carried out various development initiatives and programmes in Kuala Lumpur to ensure the people lived comfortably in the federal capital and not be left behind in the main stream of modern development

“Bandar Tun Razak BN division head Datuk Chew Yin Keen has worked hard to give the best service to the people by organising various community programmes and was frequently going to the ground to meet local residents to resolve various issues and current problems,” he said.

He was speaking at a media conference after launching a new building for Tadika Bunga Orkid, MCA Education Resource Centre and a ‘Back to School’ programme yesterday.

Liow said while BN had been serving the people well with various community activities and reaching out to the people, the opposition was plagued with various issues and problems and it (the opposition) would only start meeting the voters when the general election was around the corner.

“Studies by MCA research teams found that support from the Chinese community for MCA has grown as the people are fed-up with the dirty tactics of the opposition who are only good at planting hatred and lies against BN.”

On BN’s chances in recapturing Bandar Tun Razak from the opposition, Liow, who is also Transport Minister said MCA was confident BN would win the parliamentary seat. - Bernama
