JKKK, JKDB can help counter allegations against govt — DCM

-

KOTA KINABALU: The roles of Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK) and Urban Development Committees (JKDB) are not confined to administering villages and housing parks.

They also serve to help the government answer malicious allegations spread by irresponsible individuals, said Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Yahya Hussin when launching the administration of JKDB and JKKK for the state seats of Tanjung Aru and Petagas at Soluxe Hotel near here recently.

Yahya said that the false allegations made against the government needed to be countered because these would influence the people to lose faith in the government.

He also said that the roles of JKKK and JKDB were also to help the government to deliver the agenda that it had planned, especially for the rural folks.

“The professional attitudes of the JKKK and JKDB will help the people and the government to implement all its planned policies,” he said.

“I hope that through the course, the participants will be able to raise their awareness and knowledge as well as professionalism to administer villages and housing parks more efficiently,” he said.

Aside from that, Yahya said that attending the course would allow the participants to provide information that were right and beneficial in answering to the allegations against the government.
