-

NICOLLETTE Sheridan is joining The CW’s reboot of “Dynasty” in the role of devious divorcee Alexis Carrington.

Previously portrayed by Joan Collins during the show’s original run, the role of the “Dynasty” villain will soon be inhabited by Nicollette Sheridan.

Having played realtor and in-group rival Edie Williams for five seasons of “Desperate Housewives,” Sheridan is stepping into the shoes of another legendary schemer in the “Dynasty” reboot.

Having debuted on Oct 11, the new run of “Dynasty” is to welcome Alexis Carrington during the course of its first season, The CW has confirmed.

“She will return unexpectedly to their world, challenging Blake’s marriage to Cristal, seeking to reunite with her children, and fighting to claim what is hers,” the network announced.

Three episodes of the reboot’s first season remain, with “A Taste of Your Own Medicine” set to air on Nov 29, and “The Best Things in Life” and “Rotten Things” due Dec 6 and 13 respectively.

The original “Dynasty” ran from 1981 to 1989, accruing five consecutive Golden Globe nominations (and one win) for Best TV Drama Series, and a total of 24 Emmy nominations over the course of its nine seasons.

“Dynasty” will be Sheridan’s first TV series role since leaving “Desperate Housewives” in 2009.

Since then, she has appeared in a number of TV movies, including 2013 seasonal romcom “The Christmas Spirit” which she also wrote and produced. — Relaxnews
