A Russian and a Brazilian win Elite Model Look 2017
THE WINNERS of the 2017 edition of the legendary model scouting competition have been announced at the event’s international final in Milan, Italy. The 2017 Elite Model Look overall winners are Valeria Chenskaya from Russia and Antonio Freitas from Brazil.
A major event in the world of fashion, and particularly modelling, the annual Elite Model Look contest scouts a fresh crop of talent, ready to strut their stuff on the world’s runways. The top prizes in this 2017 edition, which kicked off in May, go to 15-year-old Valeria Chenskaya and 17-year-old Antonio Freitas.
The 1.78 meter Russian beauty, Valeria Chenskaya, caught the eye of this year’s jury — comprising Elite agents and fashion industry professionals. The aspiring model, who lives in Moscow, is a passionate swimmer and loves Coco Chanel and travel.
Antonio Freitas, on the other hand, likes football and rock music and is 1.88 meter tall.
Both saw off competition from 61 other finalists from around the world to take the top titles for 2017.
The top 15 winners from the world final — 10 female models and five male models — will receive a two-year contract with the Elite worldwide network of agencies.
Several major modelling talents have risen to prominence through the Elite Model Look competition, including Gisele Bündchen, Cindy Crawford, Sigrid Agren and Joséphine Le Tutour. — Relaxnews
