KENINGAU: Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) deputy president Arthur Joseph Kurup presented zinc aid to 32 families at Kampung Mempulut in Mukim Dalit Sook here on Thursday.

Arthur in his speech at the ceremony said the Pensiangan parliamentary leadership was always concerned about the people’s problems and giving priority to them, especially in terms of development in stages.

He said Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders especially PBRS always focused on the well-being of the people in the area.

Arthur said the various basic facilities beneficial to the people had been and were being implemented in the Sook area. He said the asphalt Ansip-Dalit-Kahaba Road was among them which provided comfort to the residents in Mukim Dalit.

“The allocation from the federal government specially for Sabah has proven that the people in Mukim Dalit Sook have been enjoying a mega project that is paving the way from Ansip to Kahaba,” he said.

He added that the BN government would continue the government assistance to those in need.

He hoped the people in the Pensiangan parliamentary constituency would always be mindful of leaders who were really working to look after the welfare of the people, especially in the 14th General Election.

Arthur also said that his appointment as TN50 Ambassador by the government was to keep up progress in the rural areas so as to prevent them from dropping out of the mainstream of development and people should take note of this privilege for developing the Pensiangan area.

At the event, Arthur presented a zinc aid under the provision of Pensiangan MP Fund. Each of the 32 families got 30 zinc sheets.
