The services, developed by the National Metrology Institute of Malaysia (NMIM), were launched by the Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovations, Datuk Dr Abu Bakar Mohd Diah at the SIRIM Headquarters, here in conjunction with the open day of the agency yesterday.

According to Abu Bakar, Cap Kempa Emas Certification Scheme was based on the ISO/ IEC 17067 international standard where the certification would only be awarded to the applicant when there was proof that showed the product tested was genuine and the process of stamping the seal met with the requirements of the Scheme and Malaysian Standard MS1247:2005.
