Vouchers, gifts for children of charity homes
KOTA KINABALU: Rumah Kanak-kanak Kota Kinabalu and Pusat Kebajikan Care Haven shared in the delights of the Popular Mega Book Fair with vouchers and gifts this holiday season.
A total of 15 children from the charity organisations received gift vouchers worth RM30 from Popular Book Co (M) Sdn Bhd, presented by senior retail manager Chin Pau Choi during the launch of the book fair, yesterday.
In addition to the vouchers, Chin said the beneficiaries would also be receiving gifts in conjunction with Popular’s Christmas Gift Bank drive.
“From now until January 1, customers of Popular outlets in 1Borneo, Suria Sabah, Imago, Centre Point and City Mall can buy gifts for the children of these charity homes. They can also purchase gifts during the book fair.
“If customers spend more than RM15 on the gift, they will receive complimentary wrapping services and a RM10 rebate,” he said.
Meanwhile, Pusat Pengurusan Madrasah Al-Hikmah received RM10,085.79 from the Ramadan @ Popular 2017 campaign, which involved all Popular and Harris outlets nationwide.
The campaign treated all customers to a 10 per cent rebate on selected Malay books, which was set aside to benefit charity organisations throughout the country in honour of the month of Ramadan Kinabalu and Pusat Kebajikan Care Haven after presenting the vouchers and gifts.
