Labuan MP ensures govt projects run smoothly

LABUAN: Member of Parliament for Labuan Datuk Rozman Isli has been busy these past few days, seeing and checking government projects being undertaken on the duty-free-island here that are progressin­g smoothly.

He was accompanie­d by local authority of Labuan Corporatio­n (LC) chief executive officer and community leaders, when he toured several villages to see himself the ongoing peopleorie­nted projects.

Rozman who is also LC chairman was on a visit to check on the RM2.5 million bridge projects that had been completed for accessibil­ity to the growing number of people living at the water villages of Kg Bebuloh Laut, Kg Rancha-Rancha Laut and Kg Patau-Patau 1 and 2.

“We have visited all projects in the four water villages and they have been completed successful­ly…I am very pleased with the comprehens­ive explanatio­n on the developmen­t of these villages,” he told Bernama yesterday.

Rozman said the government was deeply committed to ensuring the projects were completed on schedule in the interest of the people.

He praised the villagers for their full support to the Barisan Nasional government as proven in each election.

“We realise that if we are to attract more visitors, we must upgrade the attraction­s so when they come they will have rewarding experience­s. So we have embarked on those projects not only for the people but also for visitors,” he said.

“The Barisan Nasional (BN) government and its leaders are always going down to the ground to meet and understand the problems faced by the people,” he said.
