Parking coupons purchased in 2014 valid until June

KOTA KINABALU: Motorists who purchased their parking coupons in 2014 but have not used them could still use them until June 30 next year, said DBKK Holdings Sdn Bhd Executive Director Poon Chee Kong said here yesterday.

Poon said that the Car Parks Management Division (CPMD) found that there were users who had purchased their parking coupons in 2014 but those coupons were still unused.

Poon added that those coupons would be expiring by end of this year, December 31.

In this regard, Poon said as a sign of goodwill and cordial gesture for the public’s continuous support towards the coupon system introduced in October 2014, the usage validity of those unused coupons would be extended for another six months until June 30, 2018.

“It is therefore advisable for the users to use those unused coupons in their possession during this extended period,” he added.

In addition, he said to overcome the lack of public parking spaces in the City Centre the consumers were advised to use the DBKK’s multi-storey car park at KK Sentral Building (near IMAGO and Plaza Wawasan) which provides 391 parking lots and also the multi-storey car park at KK Plaza Complex (near Segama and Central Market) which provides 442 parking lots for their convenience.

He said those multi-storey car parks had been upgraded with a latest version of auto-pay machine, brighter lighting and newly repainted as well.

“This will offer more comfort and convenience to all the consumers.”
