Battalion 22 urged to excel in performing duties
SANDAKAN : Members of the Royal Malay Regiment Battalion 22 were reminded to continue to multiply in order to excel effectively while performing their roles and responsibilities, and at the same time, not to be complacent with their success, but continue to prove to all that they are still relevant and able to contribute their best in defending the sovereignty of our beloved nation.
Its commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Adam Buqhary bin Amzah said to achieve that goal, the Royal Malay Regiment Battalion 20 must always strive to improve the quality of professionalism to the highest level.
“Members must exercise to strengthen military skills, and abilities will be further enhanced from time to time by being experts in their respective fields.
“Instil passion and commitment to continue fighting, in line with our motto: ‘Berjuang Terus Berjuang’. Therefore, every member should always prioritise a disciplined attitude, otherwise our struggle will be useless. I pray that Battalion 22 will continue to excel in any area and shoulder the trust that is entrusted to us,” he said.
Lieutenant Colonel Adam Buqhary was speaking at The Trooping the Colour ceremony, in conjunction with the 38th anniversary of Battalion 22 at Padang Kawad Battalion 22 Royal Malay Regiment, yesterday morning.
The ceremony was also attended by heads of government departments and agencies around Sandakan, and members of Battalion 22.
Battalion 22 was established on January 1, 1979, in Kementah and has now reached its 38 years of establishment.
Meanwhile, welfare of the armed forces had also been prioritised through the Army Care Project whereby it involves the repair and construction new buildings for administration, family houses, hostels and community buildings.
