JCI Intan visits Mayor, Sabah Youth Council

KOTA KINABALU: JCI Intan members paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Datuk Yeo Boon Hai on December 28 to introduce the chapter’s new board of directors and their activity plans for 2018 as they aim to further make JCI Intan one of Sabah’s prominent female youth NGOs.

Led by President Elect Dina @ Fidelia Anna Peter Marius, they discussed on the current challenges faced in the city area and the roles of youths in the society, among many others.

Dina also shared JCI Intan’s 2018 objectives and plans and emphasized that the chapter would take into considerat­ion these issues mentioned and find a positive solution to tackle these challenges, and create a conscious and caring community towards humanity.

JCI Intan also paid a courtesy visit to the president of Sabah Youth Council, Nourman Rayn to highlight its 2017 activities as well the plan of action for 2018.

The chapter will be having its installati­on and award banquet to install the newly elected president and board of directors on January 20.

JCI is a worldwide federation of young active citizens in more than 100 nations worldwide with the mission of providing opportunit­y to create positive change.

JCI Intan is one of the 68 local organisati­ons in JCI Malaysia which is based in Kota Kinabalu. One of the two all-female chapters in the country, JCI Intan was establishe­d on March 4 1975, and has since produced and empowered active citizens in these four areas of developmen­t: Individual, Business, Community and Internatio­nal.
