‘Sabah for Sabahan’ only a political expression — Mizma

-

LAHAD DATU: Barisan Nasional (BN) has long played a role in ensuring Sabah people’s rights are fulfilled and building the state with equality without neglecting any party.

Silam Wanita Umno leader Mizma Appehdullah said the government had also fulfilled the rights of people in the country as well as in Sabah, including in the aspect of education, security, legislation and economy.

Mizma said the government had provided various facilities which proved that our rights have always been preserved under BN.

“People should know their right as the citizen to defend themselves from being used by the opposition as tools to gain support and weaken our country,” she said.

Mizma said this when met at the Pemimpin Bersama Masyarakat at Kampung Lamak, yesterday which was officiated by Silam Umno Head of Division, Datuk Mohd Yusof Apdal.

According to Mizma, people should also not be deceived by sentiments raised by the opposition which may sound close to the people. She said that the slogan such as ‘Sabah for Sabahan’ is nothing more than political expression.

“BN is the only party that cares for the people and choosing the opposition could cause us to lose the amenities that we enjoy today which will be troublesome for people.

“Let us stand with BN and continue to defend the party to ensure the continuity of a better future,” she added.

Earlier in his speech while officiating the programme, Yusof who is also Lahad Datu assemblyman, said he is committed to solving the problems of the people in the area, including Kampung Lamak with the help from the local authority.

Yusof said various efforts had been taken by the Barisan Nasional government to ensure people could have a better life.

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak and Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman, the people in Sabah are able to enjoy various facilities and development.

“Our prime minister has done a lot compared to Tun Mahathir Mohamad who only focused on national development during his leadership,” he said.

According to Yusof, the opposition could not deny all the things that have been done by BN and Umno.

Therefore, he hopes that BN will be given the mandate to continue its leadership so that more development could be implemented for the well-being of the people.

During the programme, Yusof presented contributions to single mothers and chairs for the use of villagers in Kampung Lamak.
