Teo says PH doomed to fail

-

KOTA KINABALU: Pakatan Harapan (PH) is doomed to fail as a political coalition, very much like what happened to Pakatan Rakyat, simply because the only reason that is loosely keeping them together is the desire for power, according to Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) president Datuk Seri Panglima Teo Chee Kang.

He said such desire will soon be subdued by the inherent distrust and conflict of ideologies within the political pact.

Teo said the naming of 92-yearold Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as PH’s candidate for Prime Minister reaffirmed the fact that the coalition has no suitable leader to helm the nation.

“Whether or not Dr Mahathir is poised as a transitional Prime Minister, whether or not Anwar Ibrahim can secure the Royal pardon and become the eighth Prime Minister, Pakatan Harapan is telling Malaysians that they can only offer old and recycled leaders.

“How to lead Malaysia into the future?” Teo, who is also Minister of Special Tasks, said.

“It is amazing that all PKR and DAP leaders hastily issued statements throwing their full support behind a man whom they mercilessly attacked as someone behind project IC in Sabah, operation lalang, forex scandal, the judicial crisis with the sacking of Lord President Tun Salleh Abas and many more.

“I wonder whether their hearts contradict their minds when they sing praises for someone who was their enemy for decades,” he added.
