1,200 PR1MA houses in Sepanggar

KOTA KINABALU: Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor said the government through PR1MA would be building 1,200 affordable houses in Sepanggar and the project was scheduled to be completed within three years.

Speaking to reporters after visiting PR1MA’s Open Day (POD) yesterday, Hajiji said the project was part of the government’s efforts to assist the rakyat who had yet to own houses of their own to make their dream come true.

The two-day sales event that started yesterday features its new developmen­t, PR1MA @ Manggatal, at The Klagan Regency 1Borneo Hypermall.

“I hope the rakyat in Sepanggar and Kota Kinabalu will take the opportunit­y to register for these houses. The BN government will be implementi­ng more affordable housing projects in the state,” Hajiji said.

Puncak Deras is the joint-venture partner of PRIMA which is an agency under the Prime Minister’s Department. PR1MA answers directly to the Prime Minister.

Residensi PR1MA, on a 22.50 acresite, will have 1,200 units when fullycompl­eted in three years’ time. It will comprise six blocks - 4 blocks of 17-storey high-rise apartments and two blocks of 19-storey houses.

There will be two types of houses, with Type A consisting of 600 units (Built-Up Area 1,000 sq ft per unit) and a selling price of between RM284,300 and RM369,000.

Type B will also have 600 units (BuiltUp arae of 850 sg ft per unit) and price range of RM243,600-RM326,000. Both types have three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Facilities will include a Surau, a MultiPurpo­se Clubhouse and a Nursery/PreSchool. Constructi­on work is expected to start by March.

PR1MA @ Manggatal is now open for sale with a starting price of RM 243,600. Located north of the town’s growth centre and within the proximity of University Malaysia Sabah (UMS), this high-rise gated property comes with common amenities such as security service, CCTV, multipurpo­se hall, nursery and surau.

Among other projects in Sabah that will be up for sale in the first three months of this year are PR1MA @ Borneo Cove (999 units), PR1MA @ Kota Marudu (360 units), PR1MA @ Ranggu (1,300 units), PR1MA @ Kinarut South (502 units), PR1MA @ ManggataI (1,200 units), PR1MA @ Sandakan City Centre (750 units) and PR1MA @ Kota Marudu 2 (360 units).

As of December 2017, PR1MA’s Members of Corporatio­n (MOC) has approved the developmen­t of 267,670 units of PR1MA homes nationwide, of which 141,831 are under various stages of constructi­on.

Present during Hajiji’s visit were PRIMA Assistant Vice-President Rozita Mohd Jaafar, Puncak Deras adviser Datuk Chu Vui Fai, Umno Sepanggar acting head Datuk Yakub Khan, and Puncak Deras MD Suken Chu.
