PKR leader ditches party, returns to PBS

KIULU: Impressed by the close cooperation and hard work of Kiulu assemblyman Datuk Joniston Bangkuai and Tuaran member of parliament in resolving the problems of the people here, former Parti Keadilan Rakyat leader Ah Kiaw Boliking decided to ditch the party and returns to PBS.

Ah Kiaw who initially joined PBS at its inception in 1985, resigned from the party and joined PKR, where he was appointed head of the Tiong Pirungusan Voing District for the 12th and 13th general elections.

He handed over his membership application form to Joniston at a simple ceremony at Dewan Serbaguna Tiong Keranaan on Friday and pledged his full support to the Kiulu assemblyman and Madius.

Ah Kiaw, 58, said he was happy to return to PBS fold as it would provide him with the opportunity to assist BN candidates in Tuaran to win in the 14th general election.

“I hope Madius and Joniston will be given the trust to contest in the 14th general election and I will do my best to ensure that victory is theirs as we want the Tuaran and Kiulu constituencies to be represented by the ruling party,” he said and claimed that there would be many from the opposition who would be switching allegiance to BN in the 14th general election.

He said this was because they realised that opposition parties in the area could not work together and only depended on lies and slander to garner support for the rakyat.

Madius who is also Science, Technology and Innovation Minister and Joniston are confident that support for BN will increase with the Ah Kiaw’s return to the coalition.
