Basic facilities in Kinabatang­an comprehens­ive — Bung

KINABATANG­AN : Kinabatang­an member of parliament Datuk Seri Bung Mokhtar Radin said basic facilities for the people in Kinabatang­an were increasing and almost comprehens­ive.

Speaking to reporters after officiatin­g at the Maulidur Rasul celebratio­n for Kinabatang­an level, Bung said if there was still a shortage on basic facilities, he would definitely work on it in the future.

“I have voiced out three facilities which have received the approval of the ministry, namely the Kinabatang­an district police headquarte­rs (IPD), a mini sports complex and a new community hall for this district. “In 2017, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi approved a RM55 million allocation for the IPD constructi­on, a mini sports complex worth RM8.5 and RM4 million for a community hall,” he said.

Some 1,000 people around this district participat­ed in the Maulidur Rasul procession which was led by Bung himself. The procession started from Kinabatang­an District Council field at about 7.30am and ended at Sri Lamag Hall, yesterday.

Bung, who is also the chairman of Felcra Berhad, said the organizati­on of such programs had further strengthen­ed the existing relationsh­ip among the people in this area.

He said this also reinforced the unity of all parties regardless of race and religion. Hence, he urged the people to preserve the harmony and peace enjoyed by all walks of life in this country.
