Basic facilities in Kinabatangan comprehensive — Bung
KINABATANGAN : Kinabatangan member of parliament Datuk Seri Bung Mokhtar Radin said basic facilities for the people in Kinabatangan were increasing and almost comprehensive.
Speaking to reporters after officiating at the Maulidur Rasul celebration for Kinabatangan level, Bung said if there was still a shortage on basic facilities, he would definitely work on it in the future.
“I have voiced out three facilities which have received the approval of the ministry, namely the Kinabatangan district police headquarters (IPD), a mini sports complex and a new community hall for this district. “In 2017, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi approved a RM55 million allocation for the IPD construction, a mini sports complex worth RM8.5 and RM4 million for a community hall,” he said.
Some 1,000 people around this district participated in the Maulidur Rasul procession which was led by Bung himself. The procession started from Kinabatangan District Council field at about 7.30am and ended at Sri Lamag Hall, yesterday.
Bung, who is also the chairman of Felcra Berhad, said the organization of such programs had further strengthened the existing relationship among the people in this area.
He said this also reinforced the unity of all parties regardless of race and religion. Hence, he urged the people to preserve the harmony and peace enjoyed by all walks of life in this country.
