MP satisfied with Kinabatangan BN Youth's preparation for GE14
KINABATANGAN: Umno Supreme Council member Dato Sri Bung Moktar Haji Radin is satisfied with the preparation of the Kinabatangan Barisan Nasional (BN) Youth's machinery to face the 14th general election (GE14).
According to Bung, he put his confidence in the Kinabatangan BN Youth as a defence fortress to ensure victory for Umno and BN parties.
“I am very satisfied with the preparation of the BN Youth under the leadership of Kinabatangan Youth chief.
“The Youth is the frontline in facing the general election, thus ensuring victory for Umno and BN,” he told reporters after opening the Solidarity Symposium and the launching of Gerak Gempur BN Youth Kinabatangan P.187 at Suan Lamba Hall, yesterday.
Also present were Kinabatangan Umno deputy head Datuk Jafry Ariffin, Kinabatangan Umno Youth chief Aksyah Nasrah and local leaders.
Meanwhile, Bung who is Kinabatangan Umno division chief and Kinabatangan MP, said the implementation of the program was one of the strategies to strengthen Umno and BN parties in preparation of GE14, as well as to maintain solidarity among leaders and members within the party.
“This solidarity is important not only during the general election season but after the general election too, whereby we will always join each other to ensure that this party is a party that has been inspired by the Sabah community, especially in Kinabatangan.
“It is important for BN to retain power in Sabah to secure the sustainability of social, economic and social development, especially in the region as well,” he added.
Earlier in his speech, he called on each member of the Youth movement not to be lured by irresponsible elements which discredit the leaders of Umno and BN parties on social media.
“Today's youths have to be competent and smart on social media. If there is a ‘viral' on social media about the issue thrown by the opposition in relation to our party or our leader, you (Youth) shall eliminate the defamation and opponents professionally,” he said.
Bung also announced the launching of a large-scale Kinabatangan electoral machinery movement which will be officiated by the Chief Minister in February.
