KUALA NERUS: The people should be able to evaluate how credible the allies in Pakatan Harapan are with the parties now at loggerheads over the distribution of seats in Terengganu for the 14th general election, said Terengganu Umno Liaison chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman.

He said the parties involved were Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) .

“This is what the people should be wary of, even before they can rule, they are already at loggerheads, what more when they become the government,” he told reporters after opening a carnival involving the army yesterday.

Also present were 8th Brigade Commanding officer Brigadier General Datuk Nazari Ab Hadi and Kuala Nerus District Officer Datuk Tengku Farouk Husin Tengku Abdul Jalil.

Ahmad Razif, who is Terengganu Menteri Besar, said so far, only the component parties in Barisan Nasional (BN) were able to prove their commitment and seriousness in helping the people and developing the country.

“What is important we want to make thorough preparation to ensure in the coming general election, BN wins with more than two-thirds majority.

“The list of BN candidates for the general election, we leave it to the Prime Minister, and I’m made to understand that the prime minister has made a final assessment (of the list). We wait for the announcement,” he said.

Meanwhile, the carnival, which involved the display of the various equipment and vehicles used by the army, drew more than 10,000 people, who also came for the “Jualan Sentuhan Rakyat” programme, also held at the venue to buy essential items which were offered at lower prices.
