Support for more young candidates call

SANDAKAN: Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Youth strongly supports Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) Youth Chief, Yamani Hafez Musa's call for more young leaders to be fielded as BN candidates in the coming 14th General Election.

LDP Youth chief, Tsang Hieng Yee said: “For the sake of injecting new blood, new idea and maintaining relevance of BN in the future, it is important for the candidates to also consist of young leaders.”

He said that LDP Youth appreciated Yamani's bold effort in relentlessly campaigning for opportunities to be given to BN Youths to be a part of Sabah and Malaysia's governance.

“A balanced mixture between experienced and young leaders in the Government is indeed very important at all times as it allows effective passing down of knowledge, skill and experience from the senior leaders to the younger leaders who would eventually take over and be the front-liners of the country's administration.

“This balanced and continuity of good line of leadership would ensure the proper execution and completion of policies and plans which would usually take longer time. A long and uninterrupted line of leadership with balanced mixture of senior and young leaders in the government would therefore give rise to perpetual stability, prosperity and progress to the country.

“Further, given that young Malaysians have formed more than 40% of the present electoral roll, it is definitely apt and suitable for BN to make more young leaders as representatives of the people.

“These young leaders are not only on a closer wavelength with the young voters, but they could also be a good intercede or messenger for the young voters to deliver their voices and needs to the BN leadership more effectively, particularly in the present era which is rich of information technology,” Tsang said.

“There are many talented young leaders in BN Sabah who are highly qualified, eager to serve, dynamic, energetic and creative.

“Given their contributions as well as wisdom, experience and dedication to the current BN leaders who had shown impeccable track records, BN would be a complete and all-round political party that could deliver to the people of Malaysia from diverse age group, background and walks of life.

“LDP Youth therefore once again echoes the stance of Yamani Hafez and opined that it is now high time for more new and young faces to be seen in the coming general election,” Tsang said.
