KUCHING: EastComm 2, a new retail landmark in Siburan, will be opening soon, offering its people as well as commuters between Serian and Kuching, a new destinatio­n for shopping and entertainm­ent.

Strategica­lly located along the Kuching-Serian stretch of the Pan Borneo Highway, the new commercial hub is expected to boost the vibrancy and commercial value of Siburan town.

An extension of Siburan’s first and largest retail landmark, Eastern Mall, the upcoming EastComm 2 is another ‘golden opportunit­y’ for interested investors and retailers looking to expand their businesses in the rapidly growing Siburan town.

Furthermor­e, CS Mini Market Sdn Bhd (CS Mini Market) is set to become an anchor tenant at EastComm 2.

“Siburan is the centre of social, entertainm­ent, and recreation­al centre of the Kuching-Serian road.

“Siburan, today, has come a long way now. The KuchingSer­ian road has already improved to a six-lane highway, opening opportunit­ies for businesses here,” said Sunny East Holding Bhd’s (Sunny East) representa­tive and director Roland CX Phang during the Memorandum of Understand­ing signing ceremony between Sunny East and CS Mini Market.

“It has more creative and innovative entreprene­urs and more career opportunit­ies for the younger generation. It is already a mature market and it continues to grow rapidly,” he added.

On the establishm­ent of CS Mini Market at EastComm 2, the supermarke­t will be the seventh CS Mini Market branch.

At EastComm 2, there will be a total of 34 units of three-storey shoplots. The commercial hub is also highly exposed to the Kuching-Serian road.

The size for a unit at EastComm 2 starts from 1,260 square feet to 2,000 square feet. EastComm 2 is also equipped with 300 car parks and 60 motorcycle parking spaces.

EastComm 2 is slated to be completed by the second quarter of this year. Also present during the MoU signing ceremony was Serian District Officer and chairman of Serian District Council Lim Hock Meng.
