PR1MA sales office will be game changer – CM

KOTA KINABALU: Establishi­ng the future Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia’s (PR1MA) sales office here will change the housing developmen­t sector game in the state, said Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman.

Musa, who lauded the move here yesterday, said federal and state developmen­t projects have rapidly and progressiv­ely stimulated the socioecono­mic growth in Sabah.

He said this is expected to increase the number of quality homes for Sabah’s Middle 40% (M40) group.

“PR1MA is also a game changer that consists of components that not only advances further the country’s housing sector, with the encouragem­ent of advanced constructi­on technology, but also create a harmonious environmen­t and business opportunit­ies for small companies to giant companies,” said Musa, whose speech was delivered by Special Tasks Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Teo Chee Kang, during the ‘Ekspo Jualan Perumahan - Ke Arah Sejuta Impian, Alami Gaya Hidup Sejahtera’ launch at Sabah Trade Centre (STC) here yesterday.

“Transforma­tion of housing in Sabah is expected to continuall­y grow through various infrastruc­ture developmen­t, in line with the federal government target to build a million affordable homes for the people nationwide. We will continue to cooperate with agencies and private developers to create more affordable homes in the state. This is to ensure all the people regardless of location or socioecono­mic state will benefit from our country’s transforma­tion and developmen­t,” he added.
