KOTA KINABALU: School leavers are encouraged to visit the StudyMalaysia Higher Education Fair at Suria Sabah today, following the announcement of the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results earlier this week.

Approximately 20 higher learning institutions are ready to offer consultation on a variety of courses, said event coordinator Selene Tang.

“We hope students will come with their parents to register with universities at the fair. We also have a further studies workshop for potential applicants to identify their interests so they can choose a field of study that suits them,” she added.

Selene also said visitors would receive a financial aid guidebook for information on scholarships and tuition waivers, or consult with the National Higher Education Fund (PTPTN) at the fair.

The Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) also has a booth, rounding out the fair as a onestop centre, said Selene.

She said they were expecting up to 3,000 serious visitors, who will each receive a Starbucks voucher worth RM100 upon registering with a university at the fair.

Among the exhibitors are Inti International University and Colleges, ACCA Malaysia Sdn Bhd, AIMST University, Limkokwing Institute of Creative Technology, Mahsa University, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
