BN’s caring attitude wins over villagers

-

SEMPORNA: Barisan Nasional’s (BN) concern for the welfare of people and its continuous efforts in developing the state are the main reasons of why people continue to support BN.

One of the villagers of Kampung Lahat Lahat, Abdul Hali Matsalleh, 54, said BN leaders had never failed to listen to their problems.

Abdul Hali said Kampung Lahat Lahat was among the villages that still needed a lot of development and under BN, development could be felt though not all at once.

He said the presence of BN leaders on the ground also showed their commitment, and BN had channelled various types of assistance to lessen the people’s burden.

“We are thankful to have such a government and leaders who were always concerned towards the people and we hope BN will continue to help the people in the future,” he said.

Another villager Baini Minjawahi 50, said the BN government had contributed much to her and the community.

She hopes BN will continue to govern and help the people.

When asked about what is lacking at her village, Baini said she hoped the lack of water supply could be solved soon.

Both villagers said this when met during the ‘Ziarah Sekampung’ programme with Bugaya assemblyman Datuk Ramlee Marahaban at Kampung Lahat Lahat, Tanjung Kapor on Friday evening.

According to Ramlee, who is also the State Assistant Minister of Finance, this is among the programmes undertaken by Umno and BN to meet the people.

Through such programme he said they could listen to people’s problems and also present some contribution to lessen their burden.

“During this programme, we also brought the ‘Sayang Sabah’ message to instil the love to the state and I am pleased with the positive response given by people,” he said.

Ramlee who is also the Sabah Umno deputy head of Information hoped the people, especially in this area, would continue to be patient as the lack of water supply problem would be solved soon.

He said the construction of Kalumpang Water Plant was about 80 per cent and was expected to operate at the end of this year.

“The government is aware of the needs of the people and effort to address the lack of water supply here has been implemented,” he added.
