Dasein mentors creativity

-

OVER the years of advocating individual distinction, Dasein Academy of Art has developed a unique set of teaching principles called edumentoring.

A quote by Enrich From, “People are born equal, but they are also born different”, has since become the academic hallmark of Dasein Academy of Art; whereby the craft of imagination is about training the creative minds of individual talents; for great artists bear the timeless imprint of identity in his or her masterpiece.

Driven by this ingenuity, Dasein believes that the education for art , design and media studies is more than just a mere skill or job marketoriented curriculum.

After all, it is through the path of creative thinking and aesthetic learning that one discovers the beauty of one’s existence; and that, is a fulfilment of a lifetime.

With that ideal in mind, Dasein Academy of Art was established in 1996 by a team of avid educators and professionals from art, design and media industry aspiring to revive the role of a future generation dedicated to the creative and cultural development for personal enrichment.

It has unique versatility in the way it does education that differs from any other colleges.

“Dasein Academy of Art has incorporated two key ingredients into its syllabus for developing young minds – teaching plus mentoring”

As the word suggested, Dasein Academy of Art has incorporated two key ingredients into its syllabus for developing young minds: teaching plus mentoring to provide a more personalised approach for each and every teaching learning relationship. After all, it is through the guidance in self-discovery that the hidden gem of self-value can be unearthed.

So, how does edu-mentoring work? Self-value starts from personal virtues.

Contrary to most massteaching institutions, Dasein Academy insists on small scale classes by limiting to 15-25 students per class.

As part of the methodology in Edu-mentoring, it enables personalised guidance for students to uncover their niche virtues with better attention and results.

Over the years, Dasein graduates have consistently achieved high employment rate at 98 per cent after three months of graduation. This proved that the efforts of Dasein in cultivating accomplished and sustainable professionals are convincingly recognised by the creative industry.

To inspire students and connect with the creative industry, Dasein strives to foster knowledge sharing and creative enlightenment.

Artists and scholars from around the world are often invited to host academic forums and talks; providing a platform for students and speakers to uncover inspiring insights that fuel the creative process.

Dasein believes in the fundamentals of good creative education and aims to provide the right kind of learning environment and tools that not only produce skilled designers, but also those who can think, innovate, and create.
