I’ll wait for announcement of PM, CM – Abdul Rahman

-

INANAM: Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Panglima Abdul Rahman Dahlan said he would wait for the announcement by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman on whether he would contest the Sepanggar parliamentary seat in the coming polls.

“I can't answer it. As much as I want to become anything, at the end of the day I am a party man.

“I will wait for the announcement made by the Prime Minister and Chief Minister,” he said when asked by reporters after meeting with church leaders from Sepanggar here yesterday.

Nonetheless, Abdul Rahman said he had the feeling that yesterday would not be the last time he would see the people of Sepanggar.

Abdul Rahman, who is Kota Belud member of parliament, had vowed to be the voice of the church leaders in Sepanggar to the Federal Government in his speech earlier.

“I am here to represent you. I want to be your voice, your bridge to the Federal Government,” he said when addressing the church leaders.

Although he did not confirm his candidacy in Sepanggar, Abdul Rahman pointed out that the constituency has huge economic potential with the availability of power plant, navy, university, among others.

“Sepanggar is going to be the heart and pulse of Sabah,” he said.
