Work hard for ‘father of all elections’, CM tells BN parties

SIPITANG: Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman has reminded Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties not to take things and the challenges for granted in the face of the 14th general election.

In this regard, he urged all parties to work hard and go down to the grounds continuous­ly to ensure the fate of the people is always defended.

“My advice is do not take things and the challenges for granted; work hard until the general election is over,” he said when launching the State-level Brigade Gempur Pemuda Sabah BN here yesterday.

During the same event, Musa also launched the Sipitang parliament­ary-level BN election machinery. More than 5,000 people attended the events.

Also present were Umno Youth chief Datuk Khairy Jamaluddin, Sipitang Member of Parliament Datuk Sapawi Ahmad and Sabah BN Youth Chief cum Umno Youth chief Yamani Hafez Musa.

“GE14 is the ‘father of all elections’, it’s most challengin­g. Therefore, BN youth must work harder than usual to ensure victory and defend the present leadership because we have a kind-hearted leader with a great record of success,” Musa, who is also Sabah BN chairman, said yesterday.

He said the GE14 was the most challengin­g general election compared to the previous elections, hence BN’s machinery needs to be solid and ready.

“We (BN) need to win so that we will remain in power and continue to defend the fate of the people. We have good leaders and policies that have been proven by this achievemen­t,” he said.
