Umno supporters urged to ensure BN victory in Sepanggar
SEPANGGAR: Umno members and supporters here have been urged to support Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates who will be fielded in the parliamentary and state seats in their particular areas.
Sepanggar Umno information chief Datuk Saidon Kadis said this in the ‘Pemimpin Bersama Rakyat’ event at Kampung Juara Baharu yesterday, which was attended by more than 300 villagers.
‘’It is our priority to ensure BN will get bigger majority in the upcoming general election.
“We have seen a lot of developments in Sepanggar area, and the benefit is not only for us, but has also created opportunities for our youth.
“The election is approaching, so we need to double up our effort to strengthen our machinery,” said Saidon.
He also hoped that the application of gazetting Kampung Juara Baharu into a village will be accepted in the near future.
He further elaborated that the villagers will be able to have basic infrastructure from the government if Kampung Juara Baharu is gazetted.
Also present at the event was the Umno branch chief of Kampung Juara Baharu, Harris Ismail.
He said Umno members in the village were aware of their role to ensure BN wins in Sepanggar.
“Our members’ priority is to identify as many voters in the village and keep reminding them to vote.
“Having many members is not going to help the party if they don’t vote. So this is our priority now,” he added.
During the event, there was a symbolic signing of the development plan draft in the village.
