Don’t air problems in social media – rep

-

TAWAU: Houses that are in need of repair or assistance will be receiving the aid once the allocation is received, said Sebatik assemblyman Datuk Abdul Muis Picho.

He said whenever a house is in need of repairs or other things such as kitchen goods, the aid will be available if the relevant authority is informed.

“Houses that have not been repaired should not have their pictures posted in the social media. Those who require the aid should come to meet me at the office or when I visit Sebatik,” he said.

He added there are 15 villages in Sebatik and whatever problems faced by the community will be solved in stages based on the allocations received.

“I am also calling on the youths, especially, to avoid posting such problems in the social media. They should instead bring the problems to me as it is my responsibility as the representatives of the people here,” Abdul Muis said.

He assured that he will visit those houses that needed repair work and see what repair work that needs to be done during the State-level Kembara Kebajikan 1Malaysia (KK1M) at Sungai Tongkang, Sebatik Island, which will be the last stop of the program.

He urged those who need urgent help to repair their homes, such as repair of roofing, to be patient as the materials and works are costly and would require funds.
