Talent crucial in achieving TN50 — Madius

-

KOTA KINABALU: Talent is most necessary in facing future challenges and achieving National Transformation 2050 (TN50), said Science, Technology and Innovations Minister Datuk Seri Madius Tangau.

He said that talent was most important in tackling various changes occurring towards 2050.

“Many changes will occur in future and these changes had never been experienced currently. The way of life will change and at that time we need to have talent.

“As such, our ministry always identified talents to handle technology, economic and social problems using methods that are innovative,” he said at a TN50 dialogue “Towards Innovative Women”, here on Thursday night.

Madius said women had their unique talents that were most needed in achieving the TN50 vision.

“Women have natural talents as they are very focused. In addition, they also like to share (easy to cooperate with), where the cooperative element is most significant with the digital era as against competitiveness,” he said.

Madius said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak deeply appreciated the women’s ability and made it compulsory for organisations to take in at least 30 per cent women work force besides announcing an allocation to empower women in the 2018 Budget. - Bernama
