Putatan Puteri Umno focusing on young voters to support BN

KOTA KINABALU: Putatan Puteri Umno is focusing on younger voters to support Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties for the upcoming general election.

Its chief, Daliah Mohd Zain, said going to the ground is one of the best efforts to make sure the younger voters understand that BN is the best option for them.

“I am sure the bigger number of young voters will help to determine the winning of BN in Putatan. Our Puteri wing is currently organizing various events to ensure we have the chance to talk to them face to face.

“All the events we organize will definitely benefit them, because we always bring relevant parties to participate, for example job centres and also well-known companies to share what jobs they can apply,” she added.

Daliah said this after attending Youth On The Move Carnival at Dewan Sri Putatan, recently.

During the event, Putatan Puteri Umno also opened a booth for young voters to check their voting status.

More than 1,000 people participated in various activities during the event which was officiated by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Yahya Hussin, who is also Umno Putatan division chief.

Among the activities during the event were autoshow, netball, futsal, bazaar, food truck and lucky draw.

Also present were Putatan Umno Women chief Juriah Palasin, Putatan Umno Youth chief Ir. Shahelmey Mohd Shah and committee members of Putatan Umno division.
