Two brothers emerge top in int’l music talent contest
TAWAU: Two brothers from here - Hayden Chong, 8, and Ashton Chong, 10 - came in first and second in the American Protege International Music Talent Competition Fall 2017 recently.
It was a global competition opened to musicians of all countries and nationalities.
The American Protege International Music Competition works with casting producers from Tremendous! Entertainment, “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”, NBC’s Today Show, Ellen DeGeneres TV Show, WCBS/ WLNY morning show “The Couch”, “Feel Good” TV show of French Channel 12, NBC’s Little Big Shots, featuring executive producers Steve Harvey and Ellen DeGeneres.
It was a cut-throat competition with a sea of competitive applicants hailing from all corners of the world including the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and other leading countries in the field of music.
The venue of their performance was the worldrenowned, illustrious, Carnegie Hall, in New York, USA, held on March 17, this year.
Hayden and Ashton have been studying piano forte performance under Ms. Linda Koh for three years, respectively.
Ms Linda was awarded a Diploma of Recognition from American Protege for her extraordinary dedication and achievement in the field of teaching music.
