Anifah pledges to meet villagers after BN victory

-

PAPAR: Barisan Nasional (BN), in its 50 over years of governance, has brought peace and prosperity to the people in the country, said Kimanis Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Anifah Aman.

With this peace and harmony, people in Malaysia can go about freely with their daily routine and lives as they know that they are safe, he said.

Anifah said this in his address at Kampung Kelatuan here on Saturday night after witnessing a pledge taking ceremony by 40 new Umno members.

“I am proud to accept you joining Umno and I have informed the Prime Minister and Secretary General of the party that there will be 40 people joining Umno and there may be more following suit,” he said.

Anifah who was accompanied by Bongawan assemblyman Datuk Mohammad Alamin, told those attending the event not to be swayed by promises made by the opposition.

Promises are easy to make, it is fulfilling them that is hard, he said.

Anifah also pledged that should BN win the election, he will meet with the villagers two weeks after polling to get feedback from them on what they need and how to resolve their problems.

“This country is for all of us. I am the Member of Parliament for P176 Kimanis and I serve all the rakyat of Kimanis,” he stressed, adding that the basic infrastructure needs of the people there will be resolved in stages.
