Holidaying American magician performs tricks for ailing children in Sandakan

-

SANDAKAN: Four Points by Sheraton Sandakan was very privileged recently to have a young magician from Los Angeles USA perform from the goodness of his heart for the love of ailing children.

The young magician, David Elkin, who has his followers on twitter @magicaid and Facebook fans on facebook.com/magicaid, was more than happy to share his magical skills with the management team of the hotel, which he did during the day while continuing to build the magical moments at Best Brew later in the evening.

The hotel team under the leadership of general manager, Peter Padman were awestruck at each trick performed as the suspense got more and more thrilling.

David, who will graduate as a medical doctor in July this year, combines magic for paediatric patients, uses his talent in magic as a therapeutic cure for various ailments such autism, dyslexia and the mentally deranged. He himself introduced his magical skills to his medical colleagues and his association is known as Magic+Aid; indeed a great thought put in for the love of innocent children.

David happened to be travelling through Sandakan as a graduation gift from his travel agent mum, Marina Brunson, who is of Russian decent, and dad, Gary Randal. They found Sandakan to be a mystical town which had very many hidden ecotreasures, and were looking forward to their adventure to the Kinabatangan district and the Danum Valley. The highlight of David's tour will be scuba diving, which will be done off Kota Kinabalu.
