Suzy, Bo Gum to co-star in drama for the first time
SEOUL: They have never appeared in a drama together, although both quite often ran into each other at numerous award ceremonies.
If the rumours are right, then fans of South Korea’s top actors Suzy and Park Bo Gum will be delighted to know that they will soon be starring in a drama together.
Rumours have it that Bo Gum and Suzy were going to star in a new SBS drama called ‘People of Incheon Airport’.
A source said the two were in “positive discussions” about starring in the leading male and female roles, but both of their labels announced that nothing has been confirmed yet.
People from Incheon Airport is one of the many proposed works Suzy was offered, but we have not made any final decisions.
The drama will be set at Incheon Airport and tell stories of real people working in the background at the airport, often overlooked while they connect people to the rest of the world.
According to rumours, Park Bo Gum has been offered the role of Kang Kichan, a member of Incheon Airport’s management planning team.
However, Bo Gum’s according to label Blossom Entertainment, “Park Bo Gum’s next movie has yet to be decided.”
Suzy, on the other hand, was said to be reviewing the role of Yoon Seowool of the CS Management Team, a passenger service provider who makes a lot of mistakes.
“People from Incheon Airport is one of the many proposed works Suzy was offered, but we have not made any final decisions,” her agency JYP Entertainment official said.
There is a lot of excitement over whether the two will star in a drama together, since both are well known for their chemistry with their co-actors.
Suzy’s latest drama with Lee Jong Suk, ‘While You Were Sleeping’, earned them an award for best couple at the 2017 SBS Drama Awards.
And Park Bo Gum’s closeness with ‘Love in the Moonlight’ costar Kim Yoojung had many fans believing the two to be a real couple, dubbing them “Booyoo”.
‘People from Incheon Airport’ is scheduled to air in September on the leading South Korean station SBS.
