KOTA KINABALU: Future prosperity for the people awaits with the 13-point Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) manifesto, said its president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.

Shafie, who unveiled the manifesto yesterday prior to announcing Warisan candidates for the 14th general election (GE14), said the party intended to win the hearts of the people in order to step up as the next state government.

“We are confident the people will support our commitment to topple the existing government in Sabah as well as nationally.

“We must proceed with our agenda against Barisan Nasional and other rival parties in GE14 so that we remain focused in delivering our promises to the people and our beloved State.

“The political landscape will change if Sabahans come together regardless of race or religion, until we topple BN,” he said.

Shafie, who is contesting in the Semporna parliamentary and Senallang state seats, said the Warisan manifesto ‘Aku Janji Warisan’, featured various fields which had been studied and compiled into 13 points, which were then divided into four main components.

The four components include people’s rights and enactments under the state government that must be upheld and maintained; improving deficiencies of the current government that needed to be addressed; development plans to improve quality of life; and improving efficiency of civil servants as frontliners to serve the people.

“I hope what we are offering through our manifesto will be considered by the people when casting their votes to choose a party and candidates that convince them they will build a new government,” he said.
