There had been speculation that Chong, a former president of LDP, would be joining Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan).

Teo said in his discussion with Chong, the latter has expressed his willingness to help out and join the campaign programme for BN.

“I believe Tan Sri Chong Kah Kiat will still be able to exert his influence on a lot of voters. This is a positive development.

“I believe his involvement in the campaign programmes all over the State - Kudat, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and Tawau - will give new strength to BN in facing the coming election.”
