Torn billboards to be replaced, says Christina

-

TAWAU: Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) PKR candidate for Tawau parliamentary seat, Christina Liew, has called on her supporters to remain calm over her torn billboards as they will be replaced with new ones in one or two days.

She said there was a technical issue as the billboards along Balung and Apas showing her picture together with Warisan president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal were not allowed by the Election Commission as both were not using a common logo.

The affected billboards are in the process of being changed and supporters should not be alarmed as to why or what is going on with the billboards.

She said the new billboards will be changed to her picture together with that of PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Datin Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

Christina appealed to voters to give PH a chance to govern.

The PKR Sabah chairman said there are so many things that are not right about the way the country is being managed and it is time for the people to be brave and vote for change.

“Change, we must. Vote us PH and Warisan into government. Let us show the people what we (PH) can do. I appeal to the people, give PH a chance, if (PH) not good, they can change the government,” she said yesterday.

She added there are a lot of things that the people will gain if they vote PH in such as no blacklisting of PTPTN borrowers whose earnings are below RM4,000 and scrapping Goods and Service Tax (GST) which burdens the people within three months.

Christina said the people should know that BR1M will not be scrapped, but instead PH will continue BR1M and add more value to it.

She said with the people being burdened and corruption affecting them, PH sees a chance to change the government of Sabah and federal this 14th General Election.

“The opposition must have enough member of parliament (MP) seats to overthrow the government. Therefore, I must win the Tawau MP seat,” she said.

Christina said 60 years is too long for a government to govern the country and she joined PKR 18 years ago as she has a personal agenda which is to change the government.

She said the people should open their eyes to what is really happening around them before it is too late.

“Whoever thought Tun Mahathir, Anwar and Lim Kit Siang can work together to save Malaysia,” she said.

Meanwhile, Democratic Action Party Socialist Youth (DAPSY) Sabah chairman Vincent Fung called on the youth who have registered to turn up and cast their votes for change.

“Come out in force, tell your friends that this GE14 is crucial for the future of the country and the youths,” he said.

He said the youths need to help out in changing the government as a new government means new hope for the country.

“We, as youths should not be bystanders and just watch as our country goes down whereas other countries are developing at a much better pace than us,” he said.

He said the youth must help to move for change and make Malaysia better for the future of all Malaysians.
