KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak called on Malaysians to remain confident and have trust in the Barisan Nasional (BN) in the upcoming 14th general election (GE14).

Najib said the BN government was not working just for today but was committed to working for the future of Malaysia, and no matter what, the people always came first.

“Vote for leaders who not only make promises but also fulfill them.

“Do not vote based on emotion and sentiments but on facts available. Vote for BN, 1Malaysia Hebatkan Negaraku,” Najib said through a video uploaded on his official Youtube channel on Monday night.

According to Najib, when he took over the helm in 2009, he promised Malaysians that he would continue to be committed to fulfilling the aspirations and desires of all the people.

“I have held onto this pledge as guidance and to motivate everyday in carrying out my tasks as the Prime Minister.

“My tasks are not over yet and I am determined to complete them.

“I assure you that what I have said today are not empty talk but are my commitment and dedication to the people,” Najib said.

Najib also listed several challenges the country had faced which he had managed to overcome with the blessings of the people.

“The MH370 and MH17 tragedies, for example, shook the nation but I am proud and touched by how we stayed united as a nation in facing them.

“During the global financial crisis and again during the sharp decline in oil prices causing many world economies to suffer, we remained resilient because of our strong economic policies we already have in place,” Najib added.
