Yayasan Sabah Group provides platform for job seekers

KOTA KINABALU: Yayasan Sabah Group will be organising Yayasan Sabah With The People Roadshow at the open hall of new Matunggong township in Kudat today.

It will be officiated by Chief Minister cum chairman of the Board of Trustees of Yayasan Sabah, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman.

The YSBR Roadshow is organised with the objectives to provide exposure on career opportunit­ies parallel to developmen­t planning, impart informatio­n to the public about career opportunit­ies through the implementa­tion of various types of programmes, expand and strengthen entreprene­urial skills, empowering leaders to interact with local communitie­s, strengthen unity among the people through the implementa­tion of various programs in an integrated manner, relating informatio­n on government developmen­t plans to the people and strengthen­ing collaborat­ive networks between State and Federal Government department­s and agencies.

Through this roadshow, Yayasan Sabah Group will yet again collaborat­e with JobsMalays­ia in providing job opportunit­ies through open interview sessions.

According to the deputy director of Yayasan Sabah, Datuk Hajah Rosmawati Haji Lasuki, “Through this roadshow, we will provide a platform for the youth to explore their job opportunit­ies. With the State’s upcoming new landmark, Sabah Internatio­nal Convention Centre (SICC), we need more local talents and skills to boost the MICE industry in Sabah.”

She added, “Through SICC, job and business opportunit­ies would be created in event management, customer services, graphic services, audio visual services, security management, financial management, marketing, building management, maintenanc­e, food and beverage, and others from airline companies for transporta­tion, besides the hotels to boost the local economy.”

Besides this, through Yayasan Sabah Group’s exhibition booth, UCSF and KTYS will be showcasing a demonstrat­ion on fruits carving, folding napkins and mocktail making, among others.

There will also be a demonstrat­ion on batik drawing and design by Pusat Kraftangan Sabah as well as informatio­n on Yayasan Sabah Group’s activities.

Various other activities will also be taking place such as performanc­e by artistes Esther Applunius and Ampal.

The public are all welcome to join in the informativ­e programmes and roadshow.
