Yayasan Sabah Group provides platform for job seekers
KOTA KINABALU: Yayasan Sabah Group will be organising Yayasan Sabah With The People Roadshow at the open hall of new Matunggong township in Kudat today.
It will be officiated by Chief Minister cum chairman of the Board of Trustees of Yayasan Sabah, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman.
The YSBR Roadshow is organised with the objectives to provide exposure on career opportunities parallel to development planning, impart information to the public about career opportunities through the implementation of various types of programmes, expand and strengthen entrepreneurial skills, empowering leaders to interact with local communities, strengthen unity among the people through the implementation of various programs in an integrated manner, relating information on government development plans to the people and strengthening collaborative networks between State and Federal Government departments and agencies.
Through this roadshow, Yayasan Sabah Group will yet again collaborate with JobsMalaysia in providing job opportunities through open interview sessions.
According to the deputy director of Yayasan Sabah, Datuk Hajah Rosmawati Haji Lasuki, “Through this roadshow, we will provide a platform for the youth to explore their job opportunities. With the State’s upcoming new landmark, Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), we need more local talents and skills to boost the MICE industry in Sabah.”
She added, “Through SICC, job and business opportunities would be created in event management, customer services, graphic services, audio visual services, security management, financial management, marketing, building management, maintenance, food and beverage, and others from airline companies for transportation, besides the hotels to boost the local economy.”
Besides this, through Yayasan Sabah Group’s exhibition booth, UCSF and KTYS will be showcasing a demonstration on fruits carving, folding napkins and mocktail making, among others.
There will also be a demonstration on batik drawing and design by Pusat Kraftangan Sabah as well as information on Yayasan Sabah Group’s activities.
Various other activities will also be taking place such as performance by artistes Esther Applunius and Ampal.
The public are all welcome to join in the informative programmes and roadshow.
