Warisan says it is gaining overwhelming support in Tanjung Aru

-

KOTA KINABALU: The people’s support towards Parti Warisan Sabah in Tanjung Aru here is overwhelming, with thousands of supporters joining the campaign in one of the hot seats since the last three days.

Former Sabah Department of Special Affairs director Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Hasbullah Taha convinced the winds of change in people’s support are blowing in its favour to Warisan in the run-up to the 14th General Election.

“Neither we are lying nor manipulating, but we have witnessed thousands of people from the multiracial community rally behind all the candidates of Warisan, including the Malaydominated seat of Tanjung Aru,” he said.

Dr Hasbullah who is also former state Education Department director said the people in Sabah are matured enough on the political development in the state.

“The voters in Sabah will certainly turn out on May 9 to exercise their rights and vote for Warisan,” he said.

He was of the view the people in Tanjung Aru are now rallying behind the Warisan candidate of Wong Hon Jun or popularly known as Junz Wong, due to the latter’s courage of struggling for the people’s issues and predicaments.

“We have seen the multiracial community, especially the Malays in Tg Aru turn up from the first day till to date to listen to the ‘ceramah’ and share their grievances with the candidate,” he said.

“We humbly note that the response and support of people towards Warisan is overwhelming. Warisan candidate remains professional and ethically campaigning without having to slander its rivals as people are aware of Warisan’s capability,” he said.
