ICSB-NBT controversial deal old news

-

KOTA KINABALU: The story concerning the controversial deal between ICSB and North Borneo Timbers Sdn Bhd (NBT) is old news, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Panglima Abdul Rahman Dahlan.

“The story about how Shafie Apdal tried to sell Yayasan Sabah to NBT is already known by many,” he told press members when asked to comment about it.

“It is several decades old, but the opposition has used the opportunity since this story has not gone viral,” he added.

Recently, two executives from Yayasan Sabah and ICSB consisting of former Yayasan Sabah Deputy Director Tengku Datuk Zainal Adlin and the then former Chief Executive Officer of Yayasan Sabah’s investment arm, Innoprise Corporation Sdn Bhd, Datuk Haji Abdul Kadir Haji Damsal alleged that the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman, was responsible for calling off the deal.

Rahman said that the revelation by the two former executives will allow the people of Sabah to know who actually wants to defend and save Sabah and who wants to destroy the State.

He added that NBT wanted to buy YS at a very cheap price.

Meanwhile Community Development and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Jainab Ahmad Ayid said that Musa had brought a lot of positive developments for Sabah.

She urged voters not to be tricked into rendering their support to those who only thought of their own self interest.
