Ex-CM? Sabahans have right to know

-

Par Warisan Sabah permanent chairman Datuk Liew Vui Keong said he believes the people of Sabah have the right to know where is former chief minister Tan Sri Musa Aman.

SANDAKAN: Former Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman should be man enough to face reality and face the people, according to Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) permanent chairman Datuk Liew Vui Keong.

“He (Musa) shouldn’t hide behind his lawyer asking him to issue statements on his behalf. This is not the Musa we once knew who wouldn’t run away from his responsibilities.

“He can’t be hiding somewhere under the pretext that he requires medical treatment when there wasn’t any indication of his illness before GE14. I believe the people of Sabah have the right to know where our former CM is,” Liew said during a breaking of fast event at Batu Sapi here, Sunday.

He told the attendees that Warisan is commonly mistaken to be a component party of Pakatan Harapan, but it is not.

“Warisan is a political strategic partner where we had an earlier electoral pact with PH that they wouldn’t contest in constituencies we contested. Although there was an exception in Batu Sapi where Amanah’s candidate stood against us, I would take it as a one-off case and I wouldn’t want to make it an issue.

“The fact that Warisan is not a component party to PH means that we in Sabah have autonomy in deciding our own Sabah affairs.

“Our Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Shafie Hj Apdal doesn’t need to ‘refer’ to KL anymore for any decision,” he added.
