Stallone praises Huang for 'Escape Plan 2: Hades' role
BEIJING: Actor Huang Xiaoming has been singled out for praise for his creditable performance in the Hollywood flick Escape Plan 2: Hades.
Lead actor Sylvester Stallone was profuse in his praise, writing on Instagram: “Starring with a very special and talented actor Huang Xiaoming! I had a great time working with him in Escape Plan 2… He’s tough and fast!”
The producers are expecting another windfall.
The first Escape Plan movie (2013) was produced on a US$54 million budget, and raked in nearly US$140 million. With such a strong pedigree at making money, it was inevitable to see the Hollywood action thriller getting a sequel.
In Escape Plan 2: Hades, Stallone, Dave Bautista, and their gang crash into a technologically-advanced prison known as Hades to save their disciple, portrayed by Huang.

Directed by Steven.C.Miller, Escape Plan 2: Hades is backed by both American and Chinese investors.
The first instalment had earned some US$40 million in China, and they are expecting a wider margin for the sequel.
To make it appeal to a larger segment of viewers in China, the movie was partially filmed in China and had integrated Chinese elements.
Escape Plan 2: Hades premieres in Hong Kong on June 28. It shall have worldwide release the following day.
