Furniture group donates to flood victims
KOTA KINABALU: Pertama Furniture Group donated 30 beds to the flood-hit areas in Penampang during the handing-over ceremony at the BCCM Dogonggon.
This initiative is a collaboration between the Kota Kinabalu Furniture Group and Basel Christian Church of Malaysia. Flood victims may arrange to pick up the donations from BCCM Dogonggon.
Wong Chin Kong, CEO of Pertama Furniture Group, expressed his gratitude to BCCM for informing the situation in Penampang area where many of the villages were affected by the flood recently.
Pertama Furniture Group donated 50 mattresses to all flood victims, 30 of them will be handed over to BCCM Dogonggon for Penampang area distribution.
On top of that, a RM100,000 disaster relief fund was set up to provide extra 10% discounts on all furniture items to assist those affected by the flood.
This will help ease the victims’ financial burden by giving flood victims further discount on offer price or even below cost price. To date, all 50 mattresses were fully redeemed.
Pertama Furniture is currently having store-wide promotions with discounts up to 70% in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
