KPJ Sabah celebrates ‘healing touch’ of Ramadan

KOTA KINABALU: KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital celebrated the month of Ramadan with the theme, “Healing touch of Ramadan”.

KPJ Sabah management and staff hosted a fast breaking event for the children of Rumah Amal Kasih Kingfisher on May 28. Other than the breaking of fast, the hospital also presented a donation of food supply to the home as well as ‘duit raya’ for the 30 residents.

The event was attended by Madam Mah Lai Heng, the Executive Director for KPJ East Malaysia Region; Prof Datuk Dr Ajaz Ahmad Bin Nabijan, the Medical Director of KPJ Sabah; Miranda Harumal, the Chief Executive Officer of KPJ Sabah; Consultant­s from both KPJ Sabah and KPJ Damai as well as the staff.

KPJ Sabah staff also prepared and distribute­d bubur lambuk to the hospital in-patients and outpatient­s, the consultant­s and staff on June 12 with the aim of sharing the joy of buka puasa and strengthen­ing the relationsh­ip between consultant­s and staff.

Also held on June 12 was the “Sumbangan Amal Ramadan 2018” by the management of KPJ Sabah for its staff. This is an annual event organized by Mutiara Johor Corporatio­n and carried out by all KPJ Group of Hospitals to help their staff.

This year, 22 personnel of KPJ Sabah were eligible for the Sumbangan Amal Ramadan. The donations were handed out by Miranda.
