NS BlueScope opens retail outlet in Ipoh

IPOH: Steel products manufacturer, NS BlueScope Malaysia Sdn Bhd (NS BlueScope), has partnered onestop roofing solutions provider, Thung Hing Metal Industry Sdn Bhd, to launch the state’s first BlueScope Authorised Dealer (BSAD) retail outlet and showroom yesterday.

The outlet was NS BlueScope’s second, following the opening of its first outlet in Penang last week.

“Through the outlets, consumers will have access to the technology and a branded product range that will improve their quality of life, and ultimately, the value of their properties,” said Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Country President Pongsak Padungkarn.

Thung Hing Metal Industry Managing Director Lee Kok Siong said the outlet showcased quality metal roofing products which utilised advanced mass coating technology from Australia.

“NS BlueScope manufactures BlueScope Zacs steel, which is corrosion-resistant and longer-lasting.

“We want to tap the demand in Perak, from those building new houses and those refurbishing existing buildings,” he said.

Meanwhile, Pongsak said the outlets represented the company’s next phase in its expansion plans, leveraging on its strong brand presence and existing production capacity.

“We expect to increase output by between 40-50 per cent over the next 18 months,” he said, adding, NS BlueScope planned to open 125 BSAD outlets nationwide within the next five years. — Bernama
