KOTA KINABALU: United Malaysia, the official Manchester United supporters club in Malaysia, continued to realise its members’ dream of watching the Red Devils in action at the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ Old Trafford next season.

The seven supporters were Muhammad Faizul M. Mustapha, Suresh Ragaran, May Salitah Naru Kiob, Roland Sumandai Pilah, Richard Wong Chee Min, Logeswaran a/l Anulagan and Willie Jude Junaidi, who were picked as lucky draw winners at United Malaysia’s third annual dinner held here on Saturday.

Meanwhile, United Malaysia president Batholomew Jingulam said one of the main objectives of the club’s formation was to help realise the dreams of its members to feel the atmosphere of watching the Red Devils in action at their fortress.

He said the opportunity given via the lucky draw was to appreciate the members’ contribution and dedication towards the club since it was formed seven year ago.

“The main objective of the club is to gather all the Manchestes United supporters not only in Sabah but also in Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia in one roof.

“Through the fan club, we will provide an opportunity for them to realise their dreams like watching Manchester United in action,” he said.

According to Batholomew, they had sent about 400 members to the Manchester United’s homeground Old Trafford, also known as the ‘Theatre of Dreams’, so far.

For the record, Batholomew returned unopposed as the president of Malaysia’s official Manchester United supporters club at its second Bienniel General Meeting (BGM) here last Friday.

At the same BGM, a motion was also passed for the Manchester United Supporters Club (MUSC)Sabah Red Devils (SRD) to be officially known as United Malaysia to reflect its current national status.
